The first Fencing Western Province 1 competition took place over the first weekend in the holidays. Olothando Kobus competed for the first time and had a tough round in the poules. Ethan Lee Pan went on to win bronze in U20 foil and Silver in U17 foil. Cruz Sun progressed to the semi finals in the U17 foil. Alex Horrell took gold in U17 epee. A good start to the competitive fencing scene.
