Team Bishops A, comprising Joshua Fried and Jack Stanfield, won the Novice Final Award, with both Jack and Joshua also receiving individual speaker awards. Team Bishops B, represented by Sahil Khalfey and Seth Govender, also achieved an outstanding result, with both boys advancing to the Novice Grand Final. These are remarkable achievements, particularly considering that our boys were competing against university students and highly experienced, seasoned debaters. We are incredibly proud of all four debaters—not only for their impressive results, but also for their determination, willingness to learn, and humility throughout the competition. Their commitment and attitude are a wonderful reflection of the values we strive to foster in our debating programme.
