Big Ideas Drive

As part of the Grade 9 Big Ideas Initiative, Frank van der Walt, Jospeh Allardice and Matthew Fox are preparing to build a durable, eco-friendly 5-a-side soccer pitch at Welcome Primary School in Athlone, in collaboration with Pitches for Peace. More than just a playing field, the pitch will provide young people with a safe space to play sport, develop their skills and overall creating an impact that can benefit the school and the community for years to come.
To help maximise our impact and help contribute as much as possible, we are looking towards you, the Bishops community, for support through donations of specific building materials and safety equipment.
If you, your family, your business or someone you know may have access to any of the following items/materials and would be willing to contribute, we would be incredibly grateful:
Safety Gear:
- Work gloves
- Safety glasses / PNG
- Dust masks / respirators
- Reflective vests
Paints & Finishes:
- Black spray paint (Montana Gold preferred)
- Bright exterior paint for stencils (Montana Gold preferred; various colours, including neon)
Building & Installation Materials:
- Artificial grass adhesive
- Building / screed sand
- Cement (50 kg bags)
Every contribution, no matter the quantity, helps bring us one step closer to completing this dream and making a considerable impact in the Cape Town Community.
