Congratulations goes to Mohamed-Yusuf Davenhill, Arun Nayar, Matthew Griffin, Katlego Setai, Nico Schreuder, Bradley Baker and Nicholas Bosini for participating in this year's edition of the Programming Olympiad where the entrants are presented with a real life problem that tests their problem solving skills.
All the seven students got distinctions and were awared with Gold Certificates which will be couriered in due course. They were further invited to take part in the 2nd round where a total of 661 learners from 107 schools participated. Congratulations again to Nico Schreuder who came among the top in this round and has been selected to take part in the Finals in Pretoria from the 27th to 30th September 2024 to represent Bishops Diocesan College at the Awards Ceremony on 30 September. In addition to this invitation, as a finalist on the national level, Nico has been awarded a free honorary membership into the Institute of IT Professionals South Africa valid till the end of his university studies.
