Overview
The Astronomy Society is focussed, quite literally, on the stars. With access to 3 telescopes, as well as the many astronomically-oriented institutions relatively near to us, the society has been able to establish and encourage a love of, and interest in, space and the stars.
Past Activities
Activities in the past have included talks during Open Periods, visits to the Planetarium, visits to the Observatory – home of the South African Astronomical Observatory which runs SALT which is based in Sutherland, outside speakers and visits to the observatory in the Cederberg.
