The National Debating League runs annually from February to August and includes approximately 14 rounds, with 133 schools competing in randomly drawn debates.

This year, our Junior Team showed great promise and potential, narrowly missing out on a place in the finals.

Our Senior Team—represented by Hamaad Badroodien, Ben Honigwachs, and Cruz Sun—advanced to the semi-finals, where they successfully proposed the motion:
“That countries should be allowed to claim territory in Antarctica.”
Their victory secured them a place in the finals, where they opposed the motion:
“That the state should not rebuild public infrastructure destroyed by protestors.”

In a hard-fought debate, our team triumphed, earning the title of National Debating League Champions for 2024.
