Congratulations to Luc Bestel on the excellent achievements during the South African Junior Nationals in Durban, the South African Senior Nationals / Olympic Trials and the South African Schools Championship in Gqeberha.
The results are as follows:
SA Junior Nationals -
This is the most important event of the season for young swimmers and they get to compete in their age group against the best swimmers in South Africa. Luc had a fantastic competition and came away with 3 Gold Medals (200 back, medley relay, 50 free relay) and 2 Bronze Medals (200 IM, 100 free relay).
SA Senior Nationals/ Olympic Trials -
Luc had the most fantastic opportunity and experience swimming side by side with the South African greats and his heroes whilst they qualified and perfected their races for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris. He had some great personal performances too.
SA Schools
Luc was part of the team who represented Western Cape Schools and achieved some outstanding results: 2 Gold Medals (100 back, 200 IM), 2 Silver Medals (50 back, 50 Fly), 2 Bronze (free relay, medley relay).
We are excitedly awaiting the official South African ranking for the 2023/2024 season to see where Luc has placed overall and are very proud of his achievements.
